My view of contemporary art is quite contradictory: of course, my favorite artists are the Impressionists — their painting, so dynamic and vibrant, has never left me indifferent. But contemporary art is completely different — it is freedom of thought, experimentation with materials, and these are the very principles I use in my work; as an artist, I am inspired by everything around me — everyday life, trips into nature, travel, and the mood at the very moment of creating a painting. I believe that a contemporary artist has great chances for success; the key is to work hard, paint, and convey your thoughts to others through the perception of the artwork.

Today, living between Krasnodar and Moscow, between caring for my husband and my young daughter who still attends kindergarten, I find refuge in creativity. Painting for me is not just a part of life, but perhaps its true meaning — an immersion into a world where worries disappear, leaving only brushes, paints, and the freedom of self-expression.

My name is Lana. I was born in the summer, on July 2, and I am now 28 years old, only just finding my path in creativity. I grew up in Altai, in a small town. We often traveled with my parents and my younger brother and sister to see the mountains and fast-flowing rivers. I never liked drawing. As a child, my school art assignments were completed by my mother, and a chance exhibition of paintings at college turned my world upside down and transformed my perception of art. My dream of psychology gave way to pedagogy: I became a teacher of fine arts.
