Mermaids
“Sirens’ Song Silenced” is a tragic story about the loss of freedom. Beautiful mermaids, trapped in nets, gaze at the world with despair and hopelessness. The white threads of the nets, seeming fragile, in fact bind them tightly, depriving them of the chance to return to their native element. Red drops running down the canvas recall shed tears and spilled blood. This painting is a warning about the fragility of nature and the danger that humans pose to it.
